Location and access

Getting to Puerto Mágico is part of the outing

We're inside the cruise terminal of Puerto Vallarta. If you're arriving by ship, you step off and you're already here; if you're coming from the city, the entrance is on the main boulevard of the Zona Hotelera Norte.

Four ways to get here

Pick the one that matches how you're arriving and follow the steps. If you're unsure, the staff at the information desk will point you the right way.

5 min on foot or by shuttle

From the cruise pier

Once you step off the ship you have two options: walk a few minutes, since Puerto Mágico is inside the port complex itself, or hop on one of the shuttle carts that run constantly and drop you at the entrance to Puerto Mágico.

  1. Disembark at the main gangway and follow the exit corridor.
  2. Take a shuttle that's already running, or keep walking toward the plaza.
  3. The shuttle drops you at the entrance to Puerto Mágico.

Shuttles run continuously during ship arrivals. If you'd rather walk, the route is short and signposted.

10 min from downtown

By car or taxi

The vehicle entrance is on Blvd. Francisco Medina Ascencio, in the Zona Hotelera Norte, alongside the maritime access. There's parking on site.

  1. Take Blvd. Francisco Medina Ascencio north, toward the marina.
  2. Look for the entrance to the cruise terminal; access to the plaza is signposted.
  3. Follow staff directions to park.

Taxis and rideshare apps drop you at the main access. Tell the driver “cruise terminal, Puerto Mágico.”

15 – 20 min

By city bus

Routes heading north along Blvd. Francisco Medina Ascencio pass in front of the cruise terminal. Get off at the Zona Hotelera Norte stop and walk to the entrance of the complex.

  1. Board any route marked Zona Hotelera or Marina Vallarta.
  2. Get off in front of the cruise terminal access.
  3. Cross at the pedestrian crossing and enter the plaza.
10 min by car

From the airport

Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR) is about 6 km away. By taxi or private transfer the trip takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes along the same boulevard.

  1. Take Blvd. Francisco Medina Ascencio south, toward the city.
  2. Pass Marina Vallarta and continue through the Zona Hotelera Norte.
  3. The cruise terminal appears on your left, along the boulevard.
